Hi-tech Texas workforce needed
AUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) The school districts I represent
have always
encouraged their students to pursue studies and careers in science and engineering fields said
State Representative Dan Flynn (left) announcing the launch of the 2014-2015 High School Aerospace (HAS) project. HAS enables select Texas high school juniors to explore new frontiers and become a part of
NASAs plan for space exploration.
HAS has made a positive impact on students enrolled in the program by enhancing their skills in critical thinking communication creativity self-direction productivity and accountability.

The Texas hi-tech workforce is always in need of productive dynamic individuals to join their team and the HAS program has helped students receive degrees in science technology engineering and mathematics.
Selected students will apply their math and science skills to web-based assignments during the school year to be competitively selected to travel to Johnson Space Center in Houston during the summer to put those skills to use.
Students who are selected to travel to Johnson Space Center will have a unique opportunity to design and propose a mission focused on deep space exploration alongside their peers as well as NASA scientists and engineers.

Texas is dedicated to adding self-motivated driven individuals to the States work force.
I look forward to seeing more of the positive impacts HAS will have on the educational community said Flynn (left.)
