We have a great deal of concern that Representative Frost could now be trying to abuse his position."
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas State Representative Stephen Frost (D-Texarkana) will petition the court Friday September 17
th at 8:30am in Travis County to seal certain transcripts & documents concerning his relationship with a registered lobbyist. These documents are currently public but have been withheld pending this hearing.
The Friday September 17
th 8:30am hearing will be in the Travis County Courtroom of Judge Orlinda Naranjo 419th District Court.
We have noticed that State Representative Stephen Frosts voting record in the last two years has taken a hard turn to the left" said Allen Blakemore a spokesman for Conservative Republicans of Texas.
We believe these public records could shed light on a possible cause of that shift as well as upon other legally pertinent issues including the accuracy of sworn lobby and campaign finance reports and whether conflict of interest issues have occurred.
It is in the publics interest for these documents to remain open and available" Blakemore said.
Conservative Republicans of Texas opposes Stephen Frosts legal action" said Blakemore We feel the public has a strong interest in knowing if Stephen Frosts votes have been influenced by this relationship with a

lobbyist."
Finally we have a great deal of concern that Representative Frost could now be trying to abuse his position in order to influence the withdrawal of public documents from public view" said Blakemore.
It is highly unlikely that ordinary citizens could cause evidence of possible wrongdoing to be pulled from the public arena. A public official should live up to a higher level of transparency not use his position to cover up public information" Blakemore said.
Exhibits that Representative Frost is attempting to seal include an hour and a half of deposition testimony from February 11 2010 text messages between the State Representative and lobbyist and email.
The hearing will be held in the Travis County Courthouse at 1000 Guadalupe in Austin Texas.
