Rep. Gene Green & Bipartisan Texas Delegation Offer Support for Japan Open

gene-green2Washington D.C. Representative Gene Green and a bipartisan group of Texas members today sent a letter to Robert D. Hormats Under Secretary for Economic Energy and Agricultural Affairs for the U.S. Department of State in support of the Japan Open Skies agreement currently being negotiated between Japan and the United States.  An open skies agreement is expected to provide U.S. carrier access for the first time in over thirty years to Tokyos Haneda Airport and allow for U.S. industry growth at Tokyos Narita airport. The Japan Open Skies agreement now being negotiated is expected to provide U.S. carrier access for the first time in over thirty years to Tokyo Haneda airport one of Asias most sought after destinations given its close proximity to central Tokyo.  This agreement is anticipated to provide for new flights and airline growth in the Tokyo market.   The open skies agreement would also allow for U.S. industry growth at Tokyo Narita airport.
