Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. (HOUSTON) Congressman Gene Green invites veterans to his annual Veterans Forum this Saturday May 21. During the forum Congressman Green will discuss new and current federal policies affecting veterans and local groups and agencies will be available to answer questions about benefits and services.
Our servicemen and women and their families make big sacrifices to serve our country. It is our duty to serve our veterans with the same dedication when they return home" Green said. In Congress we are working on legislation like H.R. 4144 the Seniors and Veterans Emergency (SAVE) Benefits Act which will counteract the lack of a COLA for 2016."
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Regional Office Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and Houston National Cemetery will also be available to answer questions about assistance and benefits.
