Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Rep. Jason Isaac (R-Dripping Springs) was recently appointed to the Energy Council, an organization dedicated to facilitating the discussion of energy policy matters among energy-producing regions in the United States and Canada. With years of experience in the natural gas industry, and as a sitting member of the House Environmental Regulation Committee, Rep. Isaac will bring a unique and valuable perspective to the Council.
Rep. Isaac stated, “A successful energy sector is one of the most vital components of Texas’ economy, both in the number of jobs it provides as well as the revenue that the industry contributes to the state. As our state continues to grow, reliable energy sources and infrastructure are increasingly important. This organization allows us to work collaboratively across states to exchange best practices related to oil and gas exploration and production, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
Rep. Isaac was appointed to the Energy Council by Speaker Joe Straus. The organization is made up of members from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, and the province of Alberta, Canada.
