Representative Garza said the Attorney General is a proven leader in the fight for economic opportunity strong families & government accountability. No one serves or can serve the people of District 117 better than John V. Garza.  Im proud to endorse him for re-election and urge you to vote for him in November noted Abbott during the crowded May 15 event held at El Chaparral Restaurant in Helotes. This campaign is about fighting for families fighting for Texans and fighting for freedom said Garza. I am honored to fight for these issues alongside General Abbott. John V. Garza is the State Representative for District 117 including northwest Bexar County and the Helotes area. He lives and works in District 117 and has always been active in his community. Abbott is the 50th Attorney General of Texas. His accomplishments as Attorney General include creating a Fugitive Unit to arrest sex offenders who have violated their parole and a Cyber Crimes Unit to arrest those who use the internet to lure children into compromising situations. He has also fought to end elder abuse and has collected over $21 billion in child support for the children of Texas. Abbott served on the Texas Supreme Court and as a State District Judge prior to his election as Attorney General. He and his wife Cecilia live in Austin with their daughter Audrey.
