Bulverde TX – State Representative Nathan Macias along with 11 of his Republican colleagues in the Texas State House has been named to the Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) “Honor Roll” for his outstanding record in the 2007 Legislative Session.  Macias was also listed as one of only two “Rookie(s) of the Year” in the latest edition of YCT’s Legislative Ratings which have been released every other year since 1975.

“I am truly humbled to receive these recognitions from the Young Conservatives of Texas” said Rep. Macias.  “YCT has a long track record of promoting strong conservative principles that align very well with the strong majority of the Texans I represent.”
Since 1975 the Young Conservatives of Texas have provided reviews of the voting records of legislators to the citizens of Texas as a public service. This year’s ratings focused on 26 key votes in the Texas House to help citizens truly understand the voting habits of the representatives by accurately portraying their level of conservativeness.

“My goal has never been to receive accolades or awards but to provide the consistent and effective conservative representation that the citizens of the great 73rd District (Bandera Comal Gillespie and Kendall counties) both desire and deserve” concluded Macias.

Representative Macias to date has also received the following awards and recognitions based on his record in the 80th Legislative Session: Republican Freshman of the Year (House Republicans) Texas Taxpayer Hero (Texans for Fiscal Responsibility) Champion for Free Enterprise (Texas Association of Business) and Conservative Leader (Texas Eagle Forum & Heritage Alliance).
