PARIS Today Representative Mark Homer (D Paris) stated his intention to seek re-election as House District 3 State Representative. The last legislative session was one of the most cooperative I have had the opportunity to serve in.
By putting the people of Texas ahead of partisan agendas we made real progress. I believe this attitude will serve our great state well in the future and I look forward to helping those efforts. I will be seeking re-election."
Rep. Homer was first elected to the Texas House in 1998. During the 81st Legislative Session
Republican Speaker Joe Straus showed his confidence in Homers bi-partisan leadership by appointing him Chair of Culture Recreation and Tourism Committee as well as serving on the Land and Resource Management Committee.
For the past ten years Rep. Homer has been the voice of Northeast Texans in Austin tackling issues such as eminent domain teacher pay raises economic development for rural areas (having received the Economic Development Council Legislator of the Year Award) increased funding for public schools and reduced property taxes for Texas homeowners.
It has been my honor and privilege to serve as House District 3 Representative for the past decade" said Rep. Homer. It is my sincere

hope that my constituents continue to put their trust in my abilities as I run for re-election and I look forward to visiting with them as I tour the district in the coming weeks."
