Burleson – Rep. Rob Orr R-Burleson has been recognized by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) with its "Fighters for Free Enterprise Award" for his pro-business positions in the 80th Texas Legislature. In announcing the award TAB noted he was selected for his "stellar pro-business pro-Texas" voting record.
Rep. Orr will be recognized at a reception hosted by TAB in Austin on Jan. 24.
In addition the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce will honor Rep. Orr at its Dec. 19 Board of Directors meeting. "We are excited to have this opportunity to present Rep. Orr with his "Fighters for Free Enterprise Award" on behalf of the Texas Association of Business" Greg Solomon chamber president said.
"I am very appreciative that the Texas Association of Business has selected me as a "Fighter for Free Enterprise" Rep. Orr said. "It is especially exciting to have the presentation made locally among our many businesses. I am a strong supporter of our free enterprise system and believe it is the best system in which businesses can flourish."
