I am more convinced than ever that we need elected officials who carry in their core the time-tested conservative values that have made East Texas great said State Representative James White (R-Hillister) today while filing for the recently redrawn House District 19 which includes Hardin Jasper Newton Polk & Tyler counties. White said he is excited to continue to work with East Texans in the new district.
Representative White is a pro-life champion having voted during the 2011 legislature for the pro-life sonogram bill which requires women to have a sonogram before seeking an abortion. White said he believes all life is important and should be protected.
I was honored to be elected last year to serve as part of one of the largest freshman classes in Texas political history. We deeply impacted the legislature by voicing the true conservative principles that made our state and our country great.
I look forward to returning to the legislature again to bring that same conservative East Texas voice to Austin.
White a strong proponent of low taxes having twice signed the Texans for Fiscal Responsibility Taxpayer Protection Pledge said East Texans work hard for their money and I believe they should keep as much of that money in their pockets as possible.
And the money they do entrust to the State of Texas absolutely must be spent wisely by the state siad White.
White built a reputation during his 1st term for standing up against the engrained political establishment bringing a fresh hard-working perspective to government.
