Representative Marva Beck Files for Re-election

Beck files for her House Seat Federally Mandated Interim Court Redistricting Plan for the 2012 Election width=73Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas State Representative Marva Beck filed for re-election seeking a second term in the Texas House of Representatives.  Beck will seek re-election in her house district which is now numbered as House District 12 due to the federal court ordered map for the 2012 elections. Beck filed her paperwork with officials at the Republican Party of Texas in Austin. The federal court made no change in my district except they gave it a new number.  Instead of being House District 57 it is now House District 12.  But no matter what number it has the people of Angelina Houston Leon Madison San Augustine and Trinity counties can depend the same conservative representation they receive now and that I have given the five counties I serve in the current House District 57" Beck said. The Texas Legislature added Angelina Houston Trinity and San Augustine counties to House District 57 last spring during the redistricting process.  A three judge federal plan ordering an interim court map for the 2012 election left the district boundaries the same but renumbered the district to House District 12. Im proud that I was a voice for central and east Texans during the last legislative session.  To the taxpayers in counties I will be serving please know I will continue the same conservative leadership that Representatives Wayne Christian Chuck Hopson and James White are providing to you now.  I have great respect for each of these fine conservative House Members." I am proud that we managed to pass a budget without raising taxes passed Voter ID passed additional tort reform strengthened law enforcements hand in dealing with the border drug crisis and took additional steps to protect private property rights. We accomplished a lot but have more to do in 2013 to get the Texas economy moving to create more jobs and continue to work towards a lean and limited state government." Becks re-election campaign has already been endorsed by Texas Governor Rick Perry Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples and Rob Looney President of the Texas Oil & Gas Association. Beck has also received one of the earliest endorsements from Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR) PAC the states largest pro tort reform political action committee. Im honored to have their support and Im humbled by so many of the new supporters I have gained throughout the new district.  Republicans throughout these six counties understand that its one thing to talk conservative its another to go to Austin and prove it. Im confident I have the conservative record that East Texans want serving them in Austin." Beck said.
