Representative Sarah Davis Appointed to Serve as Commissioner on the Texas Access to Justice Commission

sarah-davisTexas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas On March 5th the Speaker of the House Joe Straus formally appointed Representative Davis to serve as a Commissioner on the Texas Access to Justice Commission.  The Commission develops coordinates and implements policy initiatives to expand access to and enhance the quality of justice in civil legal matters for individuals who encounter barriers in gaining access to the civil justice system in Texas.  I am both humbled and honored that Speaker Straus has chosen me to serve on this esteemed commission stated Representative Davis.  The Texas Access to Justice Commission is vital in maintaining a just and fair legal system where all people have the opportunity to access sufficient representation in a court of law. Davis will be joining other ex-officio members Senator Rodney Ellis Justice Nathan L. Hecht and David S. Morales general counsel of Governor Rick Perry in order to better serve the Commission. Sarah Davis has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2010 representing  West University Place Bellaire River Oaks Braeswood Place Meyerland Southside Place parts of Montrose and the Texas Medical Center in Houston Texas. She currently serves on the Appropriations Public Health and Calendars committees for the 83rd Texas Legislative Session.
