Flower Mound lawmaker’s service lauded by key conservative groups and community leaders

Flower Mound TX - Today Representative Tan Parker filed the necessary paperwork to run for a second term in the Texas Legislature as the State Representative for House District 63. “It has and continues to be the highest privilege to represent Denton County residents in the Texas Legislature” Parker stated. “I now look forward to going back to the voters and winning their approval for a second term as their State Representative.”
Enclosed entirely in Denton County House District 63 includes the towns of Flower Mound Lewisville Highland Village Pilot Point Argyle Aubrey Krugerville Sanger Cross Roads Krum Ponder Justin Northlake Copper Canyon Double Oak Bartonville Trophy Club and Roanoke.
Parker added “District 63 is a fast growing region that needs strong representation in the Texas Legislature and I want to continue my work on the district’s behalf.”
Delivering on his campaign promises from 2006 Parker supported multiple measures to reduce property taxes increase border security funding close the door on illegal immigration protect traditional family values and eliminate unnecessary taxes. His efforts earned Parker the Champions for Free Enterprise Honor from the Texas Association of Business the Heritage Alliance’s Conservative Texas Leader Award as well as recognition from many local officials in Denton County.

Elected on November 7th of this past year Parker resides in Flower Mound with his wife Beth and two daughters Lauren and Ashley. Together they attend St. Ann Church. In addition to serving as a state lawmaker Parker is also an Executive Vice President for Trivac Corporation.
