Until last week the liberal media had been spinning tonights debate between Cong. Paul Ryan and V.P. Joe Biden as unimportant if not irrelevant. Suddenly tonights debate has taken on a new level of importance. Then they can claim it stopped Romneys momentum just like Bill Clintons convention speech gave Obama a bounce. Some are suggesting that Paul Ryan had better be careful that he is not disrespectful toward an elder statesman. I wonder if Joe Biden is concerned about not appearing condescending toward a bright rising star. And have you heard Obamas latest excuse for his poor debate performance? He was just too polite to Mitt Romney and he wont make that mistake again. Look out folks. Weve been warned -- the brass knuckles are coming out! On a lighter note  a brief sample of Joe Bidens greatest hits! The only debate between Cong. Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden will take place in Danville Kentucky. Obama The Consistent In a puff interview with ABCs Diane Sawyer last night Barack Obama tried to portray himself as a consistent leader.

The one thing that I think people Republicans as well as Democrats can say is that there has been consistency with me he said. People will know what I believe where I stand and what I am fighting for. And thats part of leadership.

Seriously? Well here are a few things that immediately came to mind about Barack Obamas consistent leadership:

1. He crucified John McCain in 2008 claiming McCain was going to tax health insurance. Obama won and did tax health care.
2. He said he would not raise taxes on the middle class. The Supreme Court ruled his individual mandate in Obamacare is a tax increase and it will impact mostly middle class families.
3. He said we shouldnt raise taxes in a recession. Obamacare does raises taxes and hes vowing to raise taxes even more.
4. He said he would close GITMO. Its still open.
5. He said he was against same-sex marriage. Now hes for it.
6. Obama said it was unpatriotic of George W. Bush to run up so much debt. Hes run up even more debt.
7. He said hed cut the deficit in half in his first term. Hes doubled it.
8. He said he was against sending jobs to China. His stimulus bill stimulated Chinese companies.

Taliban Inside The Building There was incredible testimony yesterday on Capitol Hill from two men directly involved in providing security to our personnel in Libya. Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wood who commanded a special operations team assigned to protect the embassy told members of Congress We were fighting a losing battle. Lt. Col. Wood wasnt talking about the firefight that killed four Americans including our ambassador. No he was referring to the battle with Obamas bureaucrats at the State Department just to maintain current security personnel. Eric Nordstrom the former Libyan Regional Security Officer at the State Department expressed similar frustration. Nordstrom recalled the response he got when he asked for 12 security officers: His response to that was Youre asking for the sun moon and the stars and my response to him -- his names Jim -- I said Jim you know what is most frustrating about this assignment? Its not the hardships its not the gunfire its not the threats. Its … fighting against the people programs and personnel who are supposed to be supporting me… For me the Taliban is on the inside of the building. Even now the administration continues to lie to her. She is still waiting for someone anyone to tell her what happened to her son. Watch her interview here. In other words faced with a budget decision between security and Obamas Government Motors bailout/green energy boondoggle Obamas bureaucrats chose the green energy boondoggle. Radical Islam On The March One of the explanations for the Obama Administrations refusal to admit the reality of the Benghazi attack is that it undermines Obamas narrative that he got bin Laden Al Qaeda is in retreat and the Arab Spring is ushering in a new birth of freedom in the Middle East. I think it also reflects the lefts impulse to blame America first and its general denial about the nature of radical Islam. But the headlines speak for themselves. Today we woke up to the news that the individual responsible for security at the U.S. embassy in Yemen was assassinated. And todays Washington Post reports that French police have broken up an extremely dangerous terrorist cell. According to the report 12 men were arrested. They had bomb-making materials and lists of Jewish organizations in Paris. What was the common denominator? Their faith: They included

recent French converts to Islam as well as people born to Muslim families established in France.
