South Carolina GOP Gov. Mark Sanford admitted to an affair today at an afternoon press conference.
I have been unfaithful to my wife. I developed a relationship with what started out as a dear dear friend from Argentina" Sanford said in a news conference at the South Carolina state capitol.
Sanford who many saw as a 2012 Presidential hopeful resigned his position as chair of the Republican Governors Association saying it was in the best interest of the RGA and that he needed more free time to focus on repairing relationships with his family and with South Carolina.
