- All thirteen of the non-partisan elected LWV officers and debate committee members voted in the March 2010 Democrat Primary.
- The two members of the LWV who are to be the co-chairs of the State Board of Education (SBOE) Candidate Forum voted in each of the past four Democrat Primaries (2004 2006 2008 and 2010).
- In another LWV committee one non-partisan co-chair voted in all of the past four Democrat Primaries. The other co-chair voted in three of the four Democrat Primaries and she also gave over $8000 to Democrat candidates.
- On June 30 2010 another non-partisan LWV co-chair gave a financial contribution to the Democrat who is my SBOE opponent on the Nov. 2 2010 ballot

Ive been involved in Texas politics for over 30 years and Ive seen the political process stacked at times but this is ridiculous. What makes this so disingenuous is that its being done under the banner of a supposedly non-partisan group. But theres nothing non-partisan about the people organizing this proposed debate.
My friends I have spent the past four years on the SBOE publicly debating some of the most radical academic experts from the Far Left and exposing their extreme anti-American political ideology. My opposition is incensed because I helped to defeat successfully their aggressive effort to rewrite and revise American history. Sadly it seems the leadership of the Austin LWV has politically and financially aligned themselves with a political agenda and ideology that I have consistently and openly opposed. Respectfully I decline the invitation of the LWV and gladly look forward to meeting with the many parents students taxpayers and educators who fill my calendar of events.
