A new survey of CEOs by Chief Executive magazine named Texas the top state for job growth and business development for the 6th year.
While there are still too many individuals looking for work there is more hope here as new jobs are being created said Senator Jane Nelson R-Flower Mound.
We must continue to support policies that attract businesses to locate and expand in Texas Nelson said.

Refurbished Cell Phones Donated To Area Womens Shelters
Senator Nelson recently toured ATC Logistics and Electronics a local business that is creating jobs and protecting the environment by recycling cell phones. She was joined by leaders of area domestic violence shelters who received
200 donated phones from AT&T.
I am grateful that these phones will be put to good use by providing a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence to make emergency calls she said.
A major package of legislation passed by Senator Nelson during the last four legislative sessions has strengthened penalties for repeat domestic offenders provided better protection for victims and those who assist them and helped fund shelters.
Senator Nelson To Deliver Keynote Address On Women In Politics
Senator Nelson will speak at the
Texas Federation of Republican Womens Tribute to Women Brunch this week. She also addressed delegates at the Texas Republican Party Convention this weekend in Dallas.
