The House of Representatives approved the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) which would give Obama fast-track authority to negotiate global trade deals. With this fast-track power Congress can vote to approve or reject the trade deals but they cannot change the proposals.
Our only chance to stop TPA lies in the hands of our U.S. Senate. According to reports our Senators will vote on TPA this week.
If the Senate grants him fast-track authority by passing TPA Obama will be able to finalize the other three trade deals Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) Trade in Services Act (TiSA) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) without Congressional input. Fast-track lowers the vote thresholds in the Senate and blocks Congress from amending any trade deals.
The huge problem is what would happen if Obama IS granted fast-track authority. WikiLeaks released 17 documents related to ObamaTrade which uncovered buried text concerning Obamas immigration authority.
We must STOP the U.S. Senate from giving Obama fast-track authority on these international trade agreements.

Rosemary Jenks the Director of Government Relations at Numbers USA has studied the immigration text and is extremely concerned:
The existence of these ten pages on immigration in the Trade and Services Agreement make it absolutely clear in my mind that the administration is negotiating immigration - and for them to say they are not - they have a lot of explaining to do based on the actual text in this agreement.
There are multiple examples within the 10 pages of areas where the U.S. would have to alter current immigration law.
On pages 4-5 of the agreement roughly 40 industries are listed where potentially the U.S. visa processes would have to change to accommodate the requirements within the agreement.
Page 7 says The period of processing applications may not exceed 30 days.
Rosemary Jenks says this will be a massive problem We will not be able to meet those requirements without essentially our government becoming a rubber stamp because it very often takes more than 30 days to process a temporary worker visa.
The agreement also states that face to face interviews for temporary visa applicants are too burdensome. Jenks counters with
is this person is a criminal is this person a terrorist ... all of those things are more easily determined when youre sitting face to face with someone and asking those questions.

On page four of the agreement there is just an X where there should be the number of years allowed for a temporary stay. Currently for L visas the time limit is 7 years. So the agreement has left room to change current U.S. immigration law.
Rosemary ended with I think this whole thing makes it very clear that this administration is negotiating immigration - intends to make immigration changes if they can get away with it and I think its that much more critical that Congress ensure that the administration does not have the authority to negotiate immigration.

We were calling for the text to be revealed before the vote because it all sounded too suspicious. Now we find out thanks to leaked documents that the Obama Administration is trying to negotiate immigration changes hidden in the pages of ObamaTrade.
The American people are tired of being duped into believing a new bill is in their best interest until they find out what a disaster it is once it is too late.
EVERY member of Congress needs to start working for the Americans they are representing.
