Senator Creighton on House-Senate Tax Relief Plan

Brandon-CreightonTexas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Today Senator Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe) made the following statement after the House and Senate announced their agreed upon tax relief plan for the 84th Legislative Session:
I am pleased to announce that the real winners today are Texas taxpayers. Upon passage my property tax relief legislation will be a major catalyst in ensuring property owners benefit and realize the savings this session. Texans expect us to remain good stewards of their tax dollars and it is a privilege that we are able to return $3.8 billion to them with this comprehensive plan. Thank you to Lt. Senators Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville) Carlos Uresti (D-San Antonio) Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe) and Paul Bettencourt (R-Houston) were asked by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to negotiate tax policy with the Texas House. SENATOR BRANDON CREIGHTON represents District 4 which encompasses Chambers Jefferson and parts of Montgomery Harris and Galveston Counties. He currently serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture Water and Rural Affairs the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice the Senate Committee on State Affairs and as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Business and Commerce.
