Sessions Applauds the Fifth Circuit Courts Ruling to Protect Our Nations Rule of Law and Block Executive Amnesty

Pete.SessionsTexas Insider Report: WASHINGTON DC  U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32) Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership today released the following statement applauding the Fifth Circuit Courts ruling to stop President Obamas executive amnesty plan:
Today the Fifth Circuit upheld its constitutional role in protecting our nations rule of law by denying a motion by the Obama Administration to overturn an injunction by Judge Andrew Hanen that blocked the Presidents amnesty plan.  This ruling means that the President cannot enforce his DAPA policy and no funds can be used to further this part of his executive amnesty agenda. I have joined my Republican colleagues in vigorously fighting against the Presidents blatant abuse of executive authority and I am pleased that the decision of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals bolstered our efforts to block the Presidents lawless amnesty plan.  I will continue to fight the Presidents unwise unlawful and unconstitutional executive amnesty plan and to uphold our Constitution and the rule of law."
