
I continue to strongly believe that President Obamas unwise unlawful and unconstitutional executive amnesty program will do nothing but harm to the American economy and our way of life. As chairman of the House Rules Committee which will have original jurisdiction over this resolution I am glad the House of Representatives is supporting the state of Texas in this lawsuit. We can and must use every tool at our disposal to block the presidents unconstitutional liberal amnesty plans and this amicus brief is an important first step towards that goal."United States v. Texas is an upcoming United States Supreme Court case involving the constitutionality of President Obamas Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) program which he announced via executive order in November of 2014. The program would grant deferred action to illegal immigrants who are the parents of children born in the United States.
