I’m the 8th Generation farmer & rancher in my family. We landed in the 1700’s in Virginia, fought in the Revolutionary War, the War of Northern Aggression, and after the Civil War the family moved to Texas and I’m the 4th Generation Texan,” says the former chairman of both the House Agriculture, and the Homeland Security & Public Safety Committees.

Consistently ranked as one of the most conservative lawmakers in Texas, Sid Miller is now 1 of 5 Republican Candidates running for Texas Ag Commissioner.

“I’ve always made my living off the land … growing crops, raising cattle, horses, and I grow trees. I was an ag teacher for 5 years, an FFA advisor, 4-H Leaders, am a “Life-Time Member” of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, a former Board Member of the Texas Farm Bureau.

“I’ve spent all my life in agriculture, and its important to our youth” says Miller.

Sid Miller is former Chairman of the House Ag & Livestock Committee, as well as the Border Security & Public Safety Committee.
