“In this race, there’s three things that a candidate needs to be successful,” says Miller.
- “One, you’ve got to be involved in agriculture, and I’ve got more of that than anyone else in the race.
- Two, since the race is going to be decided in the Republican Primary, you’ve got to have the Conservative Credentials. With my backers & endorsements from across the state, I certainly have more of those than anyone else.
- And three, you have to have the ability to run the department — and serving as Agrigulture & Livestock Committee Chairman I had direct oversight of the Texas Agriculture Department helping develop their budgets.”
“I’ve always made my living off the land … growing crops, raising cattle, horses, and I grow trees. I was an ag teacher for 5 years, an FFA advisor, 4-H Leaders, am a “Life-Time Member” of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, a former Board Member of the Texas Farm Bureau.
“I’ve spent all my life in agriculture, and its important to our youth” says Miller.
Sid Miller is former Chairman of the House Ag & Livestock Committee, as well as the Border Security & Public Safety Committee.
