The new Obamacare marketplaces open for enrollment, benefits
Texas Insider Report: FORT WORTH, Texas – On September 3rd from 12 noon to 1:30 pm Cong. Marc Veasey, State Reps. Lon Burnam and Nicole Collier, as well as Tarrant County United Way President & CEO Tim McKinney and small business community leaders Myron Pullum and Timothy Koirtyohann will discuss the benefits of the Affordable Care Act for small businesses.
Members of the panel will discuss local implementation of the Affordable Care Act, recent developments nationally, navigator grants and the benefits to small businesses in Texas.
Sen. Ted Cruz and Republican leadership continue to seek the defunding of the Affordable Care Act, despite the important benefits to Texans and the business community. Texas ranks the highest for uninsured in the nation with the Dallas Fort Worth area leading the state in uninsured people.

Starting October 1st, millions of Americans will finally be able to sign up to purchase quality, affordable health care for the first time when the new Obamacare marketplaces open for enrollment. Many of these same Americans and others will be eligible for subsidies that will make coverage even more affordable.
And come January 1, 2014, the worst abuses of the insurance industry, including denying coverage to those with preexisting conditions, will be history.
