Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Today, Matt Bingham, Smith County Criminal District Attorney, announced his endorsement of Dan Branch for Attorney General in the May 27th Republican Primary Runoff.
“The Attorney General who succeeds Greg Abbott must be an attorney who is highly competent and who has a proven record of getting results for Texas,” Smith County Criminal District Attorney Matt Bingham said. “I am pleased to join law enforcement leaders like former Smith County Sheriff J.B. Smith in endorsing Dan Branch for Attorney General.”
Over 200,000 East Texans in Tyler and throughout Smith County look to Matt Bingham as the attorney they trust to help protect their communities. Mr. Bingham joins leading East Texans in endorsing Dan Branch, including former Smith County Sheriff J.B. Smith, Sheriffs Anthony Betterton (Upshur County), Tom McCool (Harrison County) and Jason Bridges (Nacogdoches County) as well as state Representatives Chris Paddie, George Lavender and Travis Clardy.
