I am looking forward to serving with other members from state legislatures across the country to exchange ideas and continue to improve the Texas Legislature. The NCSL was originally founded for the purpose of improving the quality of state legislatures encouraging policy innovation and communication and ensuring that each state legislature is heard by the federal government. Overall the NCSL aids and serves legislatures across the country by providing research and other services as a bipartisan organization looking out for the policymakers of each state. I am also very excited about what we can learn from others that will benefit Texas.
