Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas I have to tell you all of the questions appeared to be somewhat rigged in support of a Presidents 2013 Budget that frankly does nothing but continues the unsustainable spending and doesnt address the biggest threat to our country the trillions of dollars of debt said Chairman of the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) Budget Committee & Texas State Representative Dan Flynn after being invited to participate in a Conference Call with the White House Office of Management & Budgets to discuss the Administrations recently released FY 2013 Budget.
Flynn was not confident the Obama Administration was going to deliver a budget that made fiscal sense to the citizens of our country who have to balance their budgets each and every week at their kitchen tables.
Listening with an open mind nonetheless Flynn said it was clear from the beginning that the intent was to raise taxes cut little if anything and try to provide wedge issues for the campaign versus real solutions to provide jobs that the country and states are desperately seeking.
How can the states get the administration to hear that the people want fiscal responsibility when Sen. Harry Reid & the U.S. Senate have not even passed a budget in years and the White House just wants to kick the ball down the road? asked Flynn.

After much hope I feel this call was a waste of time unfortunately.
The most surprising item may be the continued use of the $800 billion from war funds Flynn said.
When the Federal Budget no longer figures in these costs its basically a gimmick said Flynn.
I was very discouraged that all we got was the same old spending scheme instead of leadership that could help the States with a roadmap to economic success said Flynn.
Representative Flynn is a native Texan who serves House District 2 which includes Hunt Rains and Van Zandt Counties. He currently serves on the House Committee on Defense & Veterans Affairs as well as Homeland Security & Public Safety. He is chairman of the Texas Legislative Sportsman Caucus.
