its important that we maintain a strong local economy and are good stewards of the areas natural resources so that we can continue to sustain this growth" said State Rep. Jason Isaac (R-Dripping Springs) as he filed for re-election to serve House District 45 in the Texas Legislature.
Now more than ever Texans need a strong conservative voice in Austin and I am grateful that my constituents have allowed me to represent them at the Capitol" Isaac said.
It is my hope that I can continue my efforts to stand up for our families and protect our economy during the next legislative session."
Under the new map House District 45 loses Caldwell county and will consist only of Blanco and Hays counties. Because of the population in this area the district is unlikely to change even amidst the current challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court. Although I will no longer have the privilege of representing the people of Caldwell this change illustrates the incredible growth that we are experiencing in our region" said Isaac.
Since his election Isaac has effectively represented his constituents through his positions on the Elections and Agriculture & Livestock Committees. He is also the founder and Chairman of the Hill Country Caucus. Made up of legislators from the region the Caucus is dedicated to educating members about the unique challenges and resources of the region and
provides a cohesive voice on issues affecting the area.
During the 2011 Session Isaac was a leader in passing legislation to protect 2nd Amendment rights and was proud to be a part of landmark legislation that increases election integrity protects private property rights defends human life and cuts government spending for the first time in 50 years.

Rep. Isaac is a small business owner who lives in Dripping Springs with his wife Carrie and their two boys who attend public schools in the area.
