State Rep. Larry Gonzales Files for Re-Election

width=71Texas Insider Report: ROUND ROCK - It has been an honor representing the people of Williamson County in the Texas House of Representatives. With your continued support & encouragement we look forward to another successful term of service said State Representative Larry Gonzales (R-Round Rock) as he filed paperwork with Williamson County Republican Party Chairman Bill Fairbrother making official his candidacy for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives. Gonzales is currently serving in his first term representing House District 52 which beginning with the party primary elections of 2012 will include Round Rock Hutto Coupland and parts of Georgetown Taylor and the Brushy Creek MUD. Gonzales cited the recognitions his office received for their work in 2011 most notably:

•  Texas Association of Business - Fighter for Free Enterprise" •  Texas Association of Realtors - Honor Roll for their 2011 Legislative Hall of Fame" •  Texas Alliance for Life - Courageous Defender of Life" •  Texas Retired Teacher Association - Best of Texas Legislature Honorable Mention" •  Capitol Inside - Honorable Mention Best of Freshmen Class" •  Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute- 100 Voting Record on Pledge with Texans" (consisting of five core conservative principals: balanced budget with no tax increases limit federal intrusion improve election integrity cut taxes and secure our borders).

We are very proud of our accomplishments during the 82nd legislative session said Gonzales. It was truly a team effort and we are so grateful for everyone who called emailed wrote a letter or dropped by the office to talk about the issues facing Texas." Rep. Gonzales focused his legislative efforts on several main issues dealing with public education higher education student loans for college election reform state sovereignty immigration and retired teacher pensions. Since the legislative session came to an end this summer Rep. Gonzales said their work in House District 52 has kept his office very busy. We have been very involved in many projects across the district" said Gonzales.
