House Speaker Joe Straus named Hunter Chairman of the powerful Texas House Calendars Committee at the start of Hunters 6th term during the 82nd Legislative Session.
From that position Hunter plays a key role in determining when which & how legislation is considered on the House Floor.
Hunter was also appointed as a member of the Redistricting Corrections General Investigating & Ethics and Human Services committee.
He also serves as chair of the Select Committee on Elections.
