Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas We have a proud tradition of championing the 2nd Amendment here in Texas" said State Representative Paul Workman (R-Austin) while accepting the endorsement of both the National Rifle Association (NRA) and
the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) for his re-election campaign this year.
During his first session in the Texas Legislature Workman co-authored Senate Bill 321 to improve the ability of Texans to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in parking lots on private property.
As a small business owner and job creator Workman said he also realized the need for and supported language to ensure that employers are not held liable for the actions of an employee who chooses to act irresponsibly with a weapon while on company premises.
I am glad that during my first session in the legislature we were able to pass a bill strengthening the right to bear arms. By doing so we strengthen the safety of all Texans.
I appreciate the support of the NRA and TSRA as well as their hard work to ensure our rights are secure" Workman said.
For his consistent voting record and staunch support of 2nd Amendment rights Workman received an A" rating from both organizations.
