Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN TEXASThe Texas chapter of the free market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-TX) today applauded District 44 State Representative Candidate John Kuempel for signing the groups Defending the American Dream Pledge. John Kuempel is one of ten candidates running in the December 14 special election.
John joins elected officials and candidates across Texas at the state and local levels who are pledging to support spending limits tied to population growth plus inflation with voter approval or legislative supermajority approval required for tax and spending increases."
Government works for us and voters should determine how much government we want and are willing to pay for" said AFP-TX Director Peggy Venable. We encourage all of Texas elected officials and candidates to sign the taxpayer-protection pledge."
Taxpayers should not worry that while they are hard at work taking care of their families and paying their taxes that some of those tax dollars are being used to pay lobbyists who often lobby to raise taxes" Venable said.
