The Obama Administration continues to be on a spending extravaganza. As proven today the so-called stimulus is doing very little to encourage long-term job growth and create economic stability. We need to put our economy back on track by reigning in wasteful government spending not allowing the government to spend more money it does not have.
I believe the government should be accountable to the people. If you have to tighten your belts and face this tough economy you should expect the same from Washington.

As a way to reduce government spending House Republican Leader
John Boehner (R-OH) and Republican Whip
Eric Cantor (R-VA) on behalf of House Republicans sent a proposal to President Obama outlining $375 billion in taxpayer savings over the next five years. I support this initial plan to cut wasteful Washington spending but I also believe there is more we can be doing.

I believe was must find a better way to encourage economic recovery. By committing to fiscal restraint and holding Washington responsible we can empower the American people to put our country back on track.
