Tuesday’s Republican primary run-off winners Bryan Daniel Ralph Sheffield Tryon Lewis Angie Button Ken Legler all signed the Americans for Prosperity-Texas taxpayer pledge to limit the growth of government and to end taxpayer-funded lobbying.
“Texas House District 52 55 81 112 and 114 may now become more taxpayer-friendly legislative districts” said AFP-Texas Director Peggy Venable.
“These candidates signed the pledge to put taxpayers in greater control over how much government we want and are willing to pay for” said Venable. “Taxpayers who went to the polls sent a very powerful message yesterday.”
Judge Lewis of Odessa and Ken Legler of Pasadena face no opponent on the November ballot.
These were very important elections as it demonstrates that taxpayer protections are important to voters. In the HD 112 Republican primary run-off both candidates had signed the pledge.
