Tea Party Celebrating Budget Control Act? I say NOT!

That should make us celebrate huh? Oh did I tell you? The cuts begin in fiscal year 2013 now why would that be? As Ron Paul rightly stated

In fact this bill will never balance the budget. Instead it will add untold trillions of dollars to our deficit. This also assumes the cuts are real cuts and not the same old Washington smoke and mirrors game of spending less than originally projected so you can claim the difference as a cut.

The framework imposes spending caps that would set clear limits. The failure to remain below these caps trigger an automatic across-the-board cuts (sequestration); this is where it gets dicey. A so called Super Committee a 12 member joint committee chosen by leadership (6 from each House 6 from each side of the aisle) will decide what cuts will be made. Its time to pop the corks my friends because if they dont come to an agreement (now why wouldnt they?) by November 23 2011 there will be automatic cuts imposed equally split between defense and non-defense programs. Yes $750B from defense the House played poker and blinked; they turned over their cards and showed (gave) the Libs what they have been salivating over for decades a smaller defense bring out the Turkey. If they do agree each chamber would consider the Joint Committee proposal on an up-or-down basis without any amendments by December 23 2011. One more Ron Paul quote; By denying members the ability to offer amendments and only allowing an up-or-down vote that will take place in the hectic time between Thanksgiving and Christmas this Commission essentially disenfranchises the vast majority of members from meaningfully participating in the debate over reducing spending and balancing the budget. Furthermore despite the claims of the bills proponents there is nothing to stop the commission from recommending tax increases. By the way dont for one minute think that a tax increase will not be on the table when the Super Committee convenes; it will be interesting to see what deals come forth. Tea Parties put on your party hats the celebration is just getting started and we will be the joke of the party. But we do have the trump card (the people) we have a firm hold on the power cord attached to the jukebox; all we have to do is pull the cord and partys over! No the Clear Lake Tea Party and all of the Tea Party leaders and members we have spoken with do not think this is a Tea Party victory. On the other hand we understand that one way to enslave the people is to separate them from their wealth and with this comes government dependence (Socialism). The deal just made has nothing to do with cutting government spending (regardless of who is telling you this); it has everything to do with more government. The proverbial can has run out of road and has been accidentally kicked into the Boston Harbor the 2012 elections; we have to stay the race if we intend to Keep this Republic. Does anyone remember the animated movie A Bugs Life? Theres a scene in this movie that is very telling. It goes like this;

The Grasshoppers (the bad guys) are all having a good time at a bar in a dusty town far from the ant colony (the workers) whom they have been controlling by demanding a large portion of the food they (the ants) collect each year. This is payment for the colonys safety from menacing bugs (sound familiar). While discussing matters over a drink one of the grasshoppers has the great idea that they should stay there and not go back to the colony (to collect). Hopper the leader catches wind of their complacency and reminds them that There was that ant who stood up to me! One grasshopper says It was just one ant then another chimes in Yeah! Theyre puny. Hopper then pulls a grain from a bin and says Lets pretend this grain is a puny little ant and throws it at each of them the grasshoppers are not fazed. Hopper then says How about this and pulls the plug from the bin and smothers both ill advised grasshoppers. All the other grasshoppers are watching in fear. Hopper finishes with this; You let one ant stand up to us and then they all might stand up to us...Those puny little ants out number us 100 to 1 and if they ever figure that out there goes our way of life its not about food its about keeping those ants in line.

This is a movie that definitely qualifies as a teachable moment as someone in the not so distant past coined the phrase. Get out the popcorn and sit down and watch it with children and grandchildren it is worth the watch. I lived this in Cuba and know first hand it can and is happening here in the greatest of all countries. The colony of Tea Party Patriots are coming together and are demanding fiscal responsibility and sound Constitutional adherence before we lose our freedoms our wealth and our way of life. Remember Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness comes from God not from men. We call it an inalienable right!
