Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas When I won my upset election in 2006 it was the result of grassroots voters wanting an outsider to be their voice in Austin.
I told everyone that it wouldnt be long before there was an army of grassroots conservatives like me coming to Austin. This election the
movement to the right in the Texas House & Senate moved to warp speed.
Amazingly since 2007 nearly 50 of the Senate will be new by the next session.
All of the Republican senators elected since 2007 are rock solid conservatives elected by grassroots Republican and Tea Party groups. Next session conservatives will be the clear majority in the Texas Senate for the first time in history.
A similar result has happened in the House.
The Tea Party and grassroots Republicans have sent an army of conservative legislators to Austin in the past two sessions. The number of conservatives has increased along with the amount of conservative legislation over the last six years.
Texas Republicans have passed more pro-life pro-family pro-2nd Amendment conservative legislation than anyone in the country.
Now it is time to take our conservative agenda to the next level as our conservative voters expect:
- Border security and issues dealing with illegal immigration
- An education system that ensures our state will continue to have a growing economy for decades to come and
- A budget that does not exceed spending above the growth of population plus inflation
The grassroots have spoken louder than ever. Its time to continue the conservative successes of the past with new and bold conservative initiatives in 2013
