assassinate an Ambassador from another country on our soil using drug cartels operating on Americas doorstep."
Texas Congressmen Michael McCaul (R-Austin) Chairman of the Homeland Security Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee announcing that he & Cong. Meehan Chairman of the Homeland Security Counterterrorism & Intelligence Subcommittee will convene a joint hearing Wednesday to address Iranian terror operations in the U.S.
The Iranian Government needs to understand ... there will be consequences for their actions. In the past we have attempted to use economic sanctions. It is obvious these sanctions are not working because the Iranian Government continues to believe it can do whatever it wants without consequences." This is no longer the case. Our message to Iran is simple: continue your attempts at threatening the national security of the United States and have no doubt there will be a punitive response." McCaul said this Wednesdays Joint Committee Hearing will examine among other items:- Threats from the Iranian Government;
- The timid U.S. responses; and
- Alternative responses to their continual attempts to do us harm.

operations in the United States.
The hearing will address:
- Threats from the Iranian government
- Irans intentions to carry out attacks inside the United States
- Irans ties to the Western Hemisphere
- The impact of sanctions against Iran and consideration of more punitive actions
