Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Texas Comptroller Susan Combs reminds Texas families that the states annual Sales Tax Holiday takes place this Friday Saturday and Sunday Aug. 19-21.
Shoppers can stock up on many school supplies school backpacks and most childrens and adults clothing and shoes priced at less than $100 without paying state or local sales tax" Combs said.
This year marks the 13th annual Sales Tax Holiday. Combs predicts shoppers will save $62.1 million in state and local sales taxes this weekend.
