The states annual ENERGY STAR® Sales Tax Holiday is from Saturday May 26 through Monday May 28 2012.
Shoppers do not have to pay sales tax on the appliances and those energy efficient products will also help them save on their utility bills" Combs said.
The sales tax break applies to ENERGY STAR® qualified air conditioners priced at $6000 or less; refrigerators priced at $2000 or less; ceiling fans; fluorescent light bulbs; clothes washers; dishwashers; dehumidifiers; and programmable thermostats.
Estimated annual energy and water savings for eligible products are as follows.
