Texas Association for Home Care & Hospices Bradberry Announces Retirement

width=137Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas I am fortunate to have had the privilege of working with the association and professionals who dedicate their careers to providing quality and affordable home care and hospice services to Texans of all ages" said Anita Bradberry while announcing her plans to retire as executive director of the Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice (TAHC&H) in August 2012.  TAHC&H and the industry have grown and changed considerably over the past 20 years making my job always interesting and challenging." Bradberry has played a vital role in advocating for continued access to cost-effective home care and hospice services and protecting Medicare and Medicaid programs at both the state and national levels.  The association has been a leader in educating home and community support services agency administrators executives and direct care staff. Bradberry announced her retirement to the associations board of directors and staff at a lunch hosted by Dana Madison president of TAHC&H. Anita has been an invaluable leader for the association.  We wish her well in her retirement and she will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of working with her" said Madison.  The association and its staff express their sincere appreciation to Anita for her years of service leadership and dedication to TAHC&H." Bradberry joined the association in 1989 after holding positions with the Texas Department of Health and Girling Health Care in Austin. It has been an honor working with lawmakers state agencies consumer groups and health care associations to develop the successful home and community-based health care system available in Texas today" said Bradberry. The TAHC&H board of directors has developed a succession plan and will appoint a search committee to hire a new executive.
