Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN TX In light of the Supreme Courts ruling striking down
President Obamas proposal to deal with undocumented workers and their families
the Texas Association of Business once again calls on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform
said Bill Hammond CEO of the Texas Association of Business.
A key piece of that reform must include a provision to give legal status to those undocumented workers who are living and working in our country. They should be given the opportunity to attain legal status through some process while they are working and paying taxes said the business group chief executive.
It is unfair to them and the employers of this country to have so many badly needed workers in legal limbo.
Once again we call on Congress to pass this much-needed reform" Hammond said.
