Texas Comptroller Susan Combs to Release Biennial Revenue Estimate

width=65Texas Comptroller Susan Combs will fulfill one of her most important duties on Monday Jan. 12 when she issues her Biennial Revenue Estimate to the 81st Legislature and the Governor. The Biennial Revenue Estimate reports the amount of general revenue available for appropriation telling lawmakers how much money is available to spend in the 2010-11 state budget. 

Combs will host a press conference at 10:30 a.m. Monday Jan. 12 to discuss the revenue estimate. The event will take place in Room 114 of the LBJ State Office Building 111 E. 17th St. Austin.

 The Comptroller has reserved 12 parking spaces for the media on a first-come first-served basis marked by hooded parking meters located near the intersection of East 17th Street and Brazos Street directly across from the LBJ Building. Members of the press must enter the LBJ Building through the main entrance on 17th Street and receive a visitor’s badge at the front door before attending the press conference.

Live streaming audio of the Comptroller’s remarks during the press conference is scheduled to be accessible via the Comptroller’s Web site Window on State Government at www.window.state.tx.us. An audio file of the Comptroller’s prepared remarks will be available for download shortly after the press conference.
