Texas Conference for Women Boasts Extraordinary Line-up

Austin - Some of the nation’s leading figures in business and entertainment will headline the eighth annual Texas Conference for Women. The conference hosted by Governor Rick Perry and First Lady Anita Perry is slated for October 4 at the Austin Convention Center.

In addition to keynote addresses from ABC News co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas former Hewlett-Packard CEO and best-selling author Carly Fiorina and Mary Wilson of the Supremes more than 75 expert speakers will tackle the top women’s issues of today and stimulate an exchange of ideas among women of all ages and backgrounds.

The eighth annual Texas Conference for Women is the state’s premiere education and networking event for women and draws thousands of women each year for a day of sharing learning inspiration and motivation. The conference made possible in part by Presenting Sponsor BP will host more than 250 exhibitors and will partner with more than 100 supporting organizations from across the state. In addition six $5000 academic scholarships will be awarded to outstanding female college students who balance academics service and leadership to make a difference in the community.
