Jim Pitts has long been a trusted friend and supporter of law enforcement which is why the Department of Public Safety Officers Association is pleased to lend him our full support" said DPSOA member Sergeant Shea Patterson of Waxahachie. Pitts said I am honored to have the endorsement of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line protecting our states citizens.  The dedicated law enforcement professionals who make Texas safe are playing an important role in Texas future growth and success." Pitts is receiving broad local and statewide support in his re-election campaign including endorsements from the Waxahachie Firefighters Association Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott Texas Comptroller Susan Combs Texas Alliance for Life PAC Texas Right to Life National Rifle Association and Texas State Rifle Association. Pitts is a Waxahachie attorney.  He also owns the Ellis County Abstract and Title Company is a director of Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie and is a Director of Sims Library.  Pitts previously served as President of the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce President of the board of trustees of Presbyterian Childrens Services and President of the Waxahachie Independent School District. He and his late wife Evelyn have three children.
