Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas — Texans for Dan Branch announced today that the DPSOA-PAC, the political arm of the Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association, has endorsed Dan Branch for Texas Attorney General in 2014. As one of the largest groups of law enforcement officers in Texas, DPSOA represents nearly 3,800 men and women who daily pledge their lives to protect Texans across the state.
“Dan Branch has a proven record of being tough on crime and standing up for law enforcement,” said President Gary Chandler, DPSOA-PAC. “Branch has a strong record of supporting law enforcement and the state’s commissioned peace officers, and we want to add our voice in recognition of his efforts as a champion of law and order.”

The DPSOA-PAC joins a growing list of individuals and organizations who have endorsed Dan Branch for Attorney General in 2014, including: four former Texas Supreme Court Justices, including a former U.S. Attorney General and a former Chief Justice; ten former top deputies to Attorney General Greg Abbott; 13 legal and campaign advisors to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz; eight conservative former U.S. Supreme Court clerks; Federalist Society leaders across Texas; a majority of the Texas House Republican Caucus, including the Tea Party Caucus Chairman; over 80 leaders and members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women; 30 young Republican leaders; and grassroots activists across Texas.
