Texas Eagle Forum PAC Endorses Mike Pearce

DALLAS TEXAS (November 1 2007) – The political arm of the state’s leading conservative organization Texas Eagle Forum announced the endorsement of Mike Pearce in the race for House District 55.  Pearce a conservative Republican is a small businessman from Harker Heights Texas. 

The central Texas district is currently represented by State Rep. Dianne Delisi who is not seeking re-election. 

Texas Eagle Forum President Cathie Adams cited Pearce’s strong commitment to pro-life and pro-family issues as an important factor in the group’s endorsement.  “We need principled leaders like Mike Pearce in the Texas Legislature.  His unwavering support for traditional values and sound fiscal policy will make him an important commodity in Austin” Adams said.

Referring to Pearce’s long history of involvement in conservative politics Adams added “Mike Pearce doesn’t just ‘talk the talk’.  He also ‘walks the walk’.  Even while in college Mike was active in ‘Students for Life’ and his local chapter of Eagle Forum.” 

Pearce thanked the group and said “I’m deeply honored to earn the endorsement of Texas Eagle Forum and am grateful for their support.  I intend to bring my strong commitment to conservative values to Austin to represent the hard-working families of central Texas.  Our grassroots campaign is gaining momentum as I travel across House District 55.  My supporters know that I’ll stand up to the ‘tax and spend’ crowd in Austin and fight passionately to defend the rights of the innocent unborn and take every opportunity to protect the traditional family.

Mike Pearce taught in Bell County public schools for 10 years and received exemplary reviews for his innovative teaching methods from students parents and administrators.    As a result of his devotion to teaching Pearce’s students broke academic achievement and test records.  Pearce recently founded an educational software company that sells to teachers in 28 states.  Mike has been married to his high school sweetheart Melanie for over 17 years.  They are the proud parents of 6 wonderful children: Arianna Alexandra Evan Reganne Jillian and Laura.
