We have changed from the TAKS Test and will be starting with the new End-of-Course exams with this entering freshman class and those 9th graders will be taking End-of-Course exams Sen. Florence Shapiro told Insider TV earlier this week.
There are two major issues weve come to realize ... the 1st is that students in the 6th grade start to drop-out its said and then secondly its in the 9th grade that they actually walk-out. The English & language skills in the 6th grade and the math skills in the 8th and 9th grades are the two most important areas well be focusing on in the coming Legislative Session.
