Texas Election Results 2010: Perry Swamps Bill White

width=154Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Texas Governor Rick Perry swamped rival Bill White who had accused the governor of making an enemy of the federal government for political gain.  Perry secures his 3rd term as a governor of Texas the longest serving Texas governor in history. The incumbent governor took 55 of the total votes winning against his rival Bill White with only 42 of the votes. James Richard Rick" Perry is the 47th governor of Texas having held the office since 2000. He is a member of the Republican Party. He assumed office as governor in December 2000 when Governor George W. Bush resigned to become the US President. Perry was elected to two full terms in 2002 and 2006 and now in 2010 won to his third full term.
