Texas Monthly 35th Anniversary Issue Highlights the Future of Texas

Austin Texas—January 23 2008—TEXAS MONTHLY celebrates its 35th anniversary by highlighting 35 people who will shape the future of Texas. Topping the list in the February 2008 issue is cancer survivor and cyclist Lance Armstrong.

In developing the idea for this issue TEXAS MONTHLY editor Evan Smith says “. . . we chose carefully among story ideas that dealt with the most important issues of today . . . and highlighted the people most likely to have a material impact on all of our lives beginning with Lance Armstrong who may yet lead us down the path to a cure for cancer . . .”
