Texas Veterans Commission Strike Force Team to Assist with Barriers to VA Health Care

Perry-Dewhurst-StrausTexas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas The Texas Veterans Commission Texas Veterans Health Care Strike Force Team" will be providing one-on-one assistance to Veterans experiencing difficulty in accessing U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) health care related services at the Austin Outpatient Clinic Welcome Home Health/Wellness & Benefits Fair on Saturday September 20 2014.  This event is located at 7901 Metropolis Dr. Austin TX 78744.   Once again Texas comes to the defense of our Veterans and we will continue to answer the call as long as the need exists" said Thomas Palladino Texas Veteran Commission Executive Director. This team consists of highly trained Texas Veterans Commission staff strategically positioned across the state to act as liaisons for Texas Veterans in addressing issues involving VA health care related services." Gov. Rick Perry working with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and Speaker of the House Joe Straus directed the Texas Veterans Commission assemble the Texas Veterans Health Care Strike Force Team" to assist Texas Veterans in navigating the complex VA health care system. The Texas Veterans Health Care Strike Force Team liaisons are teaming up with the Veterans Land Board (VLB) to provide one-on-one consultations for Veterans across the state at the VLB Fairs and will also be hosting similar events in the future. Assistance from the Texas Veterans Health Care Strike Force Team is available to all Veterans and all services are free of charge. Preregistering will give staff an opportunity to prepare for your consultation prior to the event and will provide you with the ability to select an appointment time.
