The Case of the Flaming Moderates

By Glenn Addison U.S. Senate candidate width=71As we enter the final three months before the March 6th Republican Primary in Texas its time we raise the caution" flag to those who plan to vote.  The caution" flag needs to be brought out in force all over the state to alert conservative voters that those currently leading the pack of Republican U.S. Senate hopefuls are in fact NOT conservative but are MODERATES.  In fact if you use two important issues as a litmus test" for candidates the positions held by David Dewhurst Ted Cruz and Tom Leppert indicate they are indeed major or flaming" moderates. The two issues I would pose as test cases" to determine if someone is truly conservative are (1) our future involvement with the United Nations and (2) the future of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). My position regarding the radically anti-American United Nations can be summed up as follows:The U.N. needs to get out of the U.S. and the U.S. needs to get out of the U.N." On the other hand it must be noted that Mr. Dewhurst Mr. Cruz and Mr. Leppert ALL want the U.S. to stay in the United Nations and simply reform it. My position regarding what I describe as the largest job-killing entity on the face of the earth" (the EPA) is:  The EPA is an unconstitutional agency.  It must be abolished and its powers returned to where the constitution says they belong at the state level."  We  have competent people in Texas to make sure we have clean air and clean waterand do not need some bureaucrat micromanaging those issues for us.  When the federal government becomes more concerned about lizards and dragon flys than the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of U.S. workers I think we have a major problem. On the other hand it must be noted that Mr. Dewhurst Mr. Cruz and Mr. Leppert want to reform" the EPA and allow it to continue to operate even though it is unconstitutional. My definition of reform" as it applies to the U.N. and the EPA is to equate it to removing one of the fangs of a poisonous snake and then declaring that you have reformed" the snake by having removed one of its deadly fangs all the while forgetting that the remaining fang can still kill you. The two issues presented above have a major impact on the U.S. economy and we will not see significant improvement until we get rid of the EPA and its outrageous tactics and stop trying to solve all the worlds problems through our involvement with the U.N.  The main goal of the U.N. seems to be to destroy our sovereignty and dictate how we live.  All presidents who have served us the past 20 years have allowed these things to happen on an increasing scale.  Getting out of the U.N. is the only answer to protect our sovereignty and way of life. Although Mr. Dewhurst Mr. Cruz and Mr. Leppert are  nice men I submit to you that they are all MODERATES and I am tired of sending moderates to the U.S. Senate.
